Straight answers, including the awkward ones.

What’s built, what isn’t, and where the gaps still are.

Is Bloomffy live at a crèche yet?

Not yet — Bloomffy is in early access. The system is fully built and demoable against real scenarios, but there's no signed customer of record today. You'd be among the first crèches running it.

Does Bloomffy actually work without wifi?

Yes, for the logging types that matter most day-to-day: attendance, nap, nappy, meals, and daily notes queue locally and sync the moment the connection returns. Developmental observations, incident/accident/ABC reports, facility checks, and handover notes aren't offline-capable yet — that's on the list, not hidden.

How does pricing actually work?

€79.99/month covers the first 15 children (the Minimum package — full Tusla/NCS/ECCE compliance from child 1). Each additional child is €1.99/month, no cap. The Standard package (multi-room, multi-shift, waitlist) unlocks automatically at 40 children, and the Enterprise package (staff forecasting, LLM-assisted enquiry intake, multi-crèche oversight) at 80 or across multiple locations — no separate plan to buy, and Enterprise is a conversation rather than a fixed price. Yearly billing is 10 months' cost for the full 12 — 2 months free. Try the calculator on the product page for your own numbers.

Does Bloomffy use AI to make decisions about our crèche?

No. Ratios, compliance thresholds, and the ECCE/NCS rules are rule-based and deterministic by design — that's an architectural and compliance stance, not a cost decision. There's no model anywhere in the path deciding what counts as a breach or what an inspector should see.

Is it actually built around Tusla's requirements, or bolted on after?

The compliance report templates are shaped directly against a real Tusla Early Years Services inspection notebook, not a generic checklist. The Tusla Readiness Dashboard is designed to be scannable in under 10 seconds, and every safety- or compliance-relevant breach is alerted on and logged — resolutions are recorded, never silently cleared.

Can more than one staff member share a room tablet?

Yes — that's the default. A room tablet logs in once as the room's own device; individual staff pick their name before logging an action (attribution), which is separate from the device login itself.

Do parents need to install an app?

No. Parents get a passwordless magic-link sign-in by email and use Bloomffy in their phone's browser — nothing to install or keep updated.

What happens to our data if we stop using Bloomffy?

Your crèche's data is yours. Bloomffy is in early access and billing isn't automated yet, so cancellation and export terms are agreed with you directly rather than buried in a self-serve flow — see our Terms, or ask us directly.
